What are Tryptophan peptides?

Tryptophan peptides is a preparation that is a source of tryptophan – an amino acid involved in the synthesis of the neurotransmitter serotonin. Tryptophan is an essential amino acid, as is phenylalanine. This means that our body is unable to synthesize it on its own, so it must be supplied from outside. The daily requirement for this amino acid is 5 mg/kg m. c.

Too low levels of tryptophan in the body can be accompanied by migraines, mood swings, depressive states or problems with memory and concentration. To prevent this, it is necessary to provide an adequate amount of tryptophan with either diet or supplements.

Tryptophan supplementation is recommended for anyone who is unable to provide this amino acid with their diet. This is especially important for those people who notice the previously mentioned symptoms that may suggest too low levels of tryptophan in the body. Mechanism of action

Tryptophan is a precursor for serotonin, a neurotransmitter that determines excellent mental well-being. It also participates in the synthesis of melatonin, a hormone secreted by the pineal gland that regulates the diurnal rhythm of sleep and wakefulness.

The recommended dosage of tryptophan is about 500-1000 mg per day, in one or two doses. The product is best absorbed when taken between meals.
